   
 Persimmon Tree Farm, an 87 acre farm located in south central Pennsylvania, has been raising Border Leicester sheep and Angora Goats, both white and colored for 10 years. We are dedicated to producing quality breeding stock and soft, fine fleeces for the handspinner. We also have five Llamas and one Alpaca who donate their fibers to be blended with the wool and mohair. Over the years, many honors have been won by the animals and their fibers, including: Grand Champion Wool at the PA Farm Show; Champion Natural Colored Ewe and Ram at the Maryland State Fair and the New Jersey Sheep and Wool Festival; Champion Colored Ewe and Fleece at SAFF. Our Colored Angoras have been champion at various shows including VAGMA, Rhinebeck and SAFF. We show animals and have a booth at Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, VAGMA Goat Show, Michigan Fiber Festival, Rhinebeck, SAFF and more. Delivery to these shows is possible. My husband and I both work off the farm, he is a rural letter carrier, and I work for Tyco Electronics, fiber optics division in the quality department. We have a daughter Michelle and twin grandsons.
